Hii, welcome back to another post! for my 4th blog post, I wanted to talk more about the main topics in track, Yes everyone has there own opinion about long-distance and sprints but I’m still gonna talk about it. soo lets just get right into it.
Long Distance- Ok so let’s talk about long-distance first. there are endless things I could talk about for benefits for long-distance but ill just limit it down to a couple things. First burning calories when you run for a longer period of time or a high intensity run you burn a TON of calories, also burning those calories helps with less body fat. Let’s be real here NOBODY likes extra body fat. That’s one of the biggest things this day in age there is a bad obesity problem around the world. Next improved mental health when running long distances there are chemicals in your brain that help with emotions and make you stronger as an individual. overall mental health is important in general because who doesn’t want to be happy I mean if your not you should try!
Sprinting- so for sprinting there isn’t a lot of peaceful stuff about it. it’s very fast-paced, but let me just tell you some benefits. first sprinting makes muscle, what I mean by that is that there are studies that show that protein synthesis pathways which in the long run help by breaking down protein by 230% that’s CRAZY. another example of this would be when you run marathons you lose muscle simply by your body is in duration for a longer period of time and for sprinting you have time in between to rest so you gain that muscle and it doesn’t go away. next sprinting takes care of your heart. One major thing that sprinting does is lower your blood pressure because having a high blood pressure can be bad. one other thing that sprinting helps with your heart is these little muscles called (type 2 muscles) twitch really really fast which helps pump blood to your heart and reduces the chance of heart disease because let’s be honest who would EVER want heart disease.
To wrap this up sprinting is obviously better there are a ton more benefits. A lot of people have a different input on running some people like the long painful running and some people just like the short and fast-paced running that would be on this hand. well, I hope you enjoyed if you even made this far. Thank you for listening, see you next time 🙂
